Meet our Black Belts
"Yudansha" means simply: person who holds a dan level rank. Dan levels are black-belt ranks. While achieving your first black-belt (Shodan) is only the beginning in what is a truly life-long pursuit, it is a milestone that requires dedication, commitment, and perseverance.
Jackie Lee
Jackie began her karate path as an adult when she enrolled her two young sons in a class, and decided to join them. Karate is now the thing she's most passionate about.
Developing and delivering training have been favorite activities in her corporate life, so naturally that enthusiasm carries over into her Karate life. Teaching has never been a "job" for Jackie. It's a pleasure and an incredibly important part of her Karate journey.
Jackie earned her Shodan from the World Traditional Karate Organization examining under Middleton Sensei.
Richard
Richard formerly trained in Taekwondo as a youth, and returned to martial arts as a father, to train with his young son in Karate.
Richard is a motivating influence, setting a high example for all to follow. When you're training next to him in class, you can't help but want to push just a little bit harder.
A Senpai and mentor to others, Richard is a natural leader, and feels a responsibility to give back to his karate community.
Richard earned his Shodan from the World Traditional Karate Organization examining under Middleton Sensei.
